Delivering Documents

*Angry and determined as I travel through the night in the Corvette, the divorce papers in the passenger’s seat beside me. Holding the steering wheel in a death grip as I make my way toward the house where Natalia is staying. Parking the car in the driveway and glaring at the modest home, as if it is going to change things. Sliding out of the driver’s seat, the documents in a thick folder in my right hand. Raising my left fist, bare of rings, to knock on her door.*
